Belly Talkers is an 8-minute film about the personification of my chronic vocal tic disorder. Ever since I was little, I explained the tic as a man who lives in my belly and likes to shout. In this film, the main character is presented with an opportunity to interact with the personification of their vocal tic. The tics live inside of the main character’s body tangled and hidden amidst a web of memory. The film utilizes hand-drawn animation, multiplane animation, 2D cell-painted animation within a 3D set, projected animation, and recordings of my vocal tic as dialogue.

Belly Talkers has screened at Bucheon International Animation Festival, New Chitose Airport Festival, Sweaty Eyeballs Animation Festival, San Diego Underground Film Festival, Sick n Wrong Film Festival, New Filmmakers NY, Sunday Shorts, Eyeworks Film Festival, and at the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association conference
